Questions
Why wouldn’t I use Vercel?
Use Vercel for software your engineering team owns. Use Intern for the many private sites your teams want agents to create and share, without configuring authentication, storage, or a new deployment project each time.
Is this like Retool?
Retool is a centralized visual application builder. Intern lets any MCP-capable coding agent create many bespoke sites, each with company sign-in, data, files, and a git repository you own.
Is Intern limited to Codex?
No. Any MCP-capable coding agent can build and publish Intern sites. Codex works, and so do Claude Code, Cursor, and the rest.
Can these be real applications or only static pages?
Intern sites can be interactive company applications with authentication, data, and files, not only static pages.
Do I need a credit card for the trial?
Yes. Starting a workspace puts a card on file through Stripe. Nothing is charged during the 14 days, and canceling before the trial ends costs nothing. Workspaces created during early access, before billing is live, start their trial clock when billing launches.
What happens when my trial ends?
Your plan starts billing on the card on file. If you cancel instead, publishing pauses first, your sites keep serving for a grace week, and your git repositories stay yours to clone. Nothing is deleted without warning.
Are the sites public?
Intern sites are private by default. Only the coworkers you authorize can open them.
